Hands-on healing that goes beyond the body....

Hands-on healing that goes beyond the body…

My foray into bodywork began after completing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University in 2011. As a PT, I quickly discovered my passion for manual therapy - the art of healing through touch. Through extensive post-graduate study of the art of manual therapy, and the osteopathic traditions from which it arose, I became a wholehearted believer in a holistic approach to healing. This path led me to a deep understanding of the inter-connected-ness of all systems of the body and the fundamental link between body, mind, and spirit.

I believe that each body has a healing wisdom within and an innate capacity for resilience and renewal. Through my work I am a constant witness to the brilliance of the body and vast range of unique patterns and possibilities each body can hold. Through attuned touch I allow each body to share its own story as I support its innate natural healing process and facilitate new possibilities for health. My treatment approach often includes gentle touch in the form of Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Mobilization, and joint mobilization.

Through working with the body I’ve come to understand the impact stress, past experiences, and trauma can have on one’s physical health. I often call upon my training in Internal Family Systems – an evidence-based psycho-therapeutic modality – to approach this aspect of health. Through an integrated mind-body approach I aim to help individuals develop a deeper awareness of what their bodies and true Selves are calling for on the path to finding their greatest health and fullest pursuit of life.

With over 25 years of study on movement therapy, attachment, and nutrition including why we eat and the patterns we have created around nourishment, I’ve brought together a integrated program for women to think with their whole body. Rather than focusing on past problems my focus is on goal setting for the future and the overall development and growth of the individual.

I weave together Mindfulness, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Somatic Techniques to support personal development and professional excellence. I use a variety of different modalities and create a specialized program tailored for each client, based upon their current needs. I trust the wisdom of each of my clients and mirror back to them their gifts. My practice includes Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement ™ Lessons, Functional Integration™, NLP, Nia Education, Personal Nutrition balancing the Brain / Gut connection, Hoopgirl certified, Holistic Pelvic Care™, Holistic Pelvic Energy™ Provider and Craniosacral. I’m certified through the Whole Health Medical Institute.
