Is it gunna hurt?! Just for a second.

Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are so thin that many patients feel only a mild sensation, or sometimes nothing at all. The amount of sensation depends on the location of the point and people’s individual sensitivity levels. It is generally a pleasant experience for most people, even those with a dislike of needles.
If pain occurs, it is usually from the releasing of the Qi (or energy) that is stuck in the meridians. Sometimes people may even cry from the emotional release, but there is no reason to be afraid of the needles. They are not the cause of any discomfort. The pain you came in with is the cause and the needles are the tools to help you release it.

What Is Acupuncture Used For?

Acupuncture is a great holistic option that serves as a healthy alternative to medication in a variety of situations. Although many patients do not immediately consider acupuncture as a next step in their treatment, there are a variety of reasons to give it a shot if you are suffering from regular or chronic pain, or are even undergoing cancer treatments.
